Eid-el Maulud: Damagum Urges Muslim Ummah to Pray for National Reawakening

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), His Excellency Amb. Umar Iliya Damagum, urges Nigerians to use this year’s Eid-el Maulud celebration to pray for the nation and rekindle our sense of national unity, fear of God, and love for one another as compatriots, while shunning all divisive and disruptive tendencies.

Damagum urged the Muslim Ummah to draw from the lessons of the 12th day of the third month of Rabi' al-Awwal, to reflect on the core teachings of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) and intercede for one another, as exemplified by the sacrifices he made for humanity.

Eid-el Maulud, the celebration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W.), presents to us, as a nation, ample lessons in the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, truth over falsehood, peace over strife, love over hatred, piety over depravity, mutual respect over intimidation and harassment, justice over impunity and discrimination, and faith over despair.

May Allah shower His choicest blessings on all who express sincere and heartfelt joy at receiving His Greatest Blessing — Sayyidunā Muhammad Rasūlullāh.

Chief Dr. Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji (OTOPE), has reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining the legacy of Governor Seyi Makinde, following the successful rebranding of the Ona-Ara Local Government Party Bus. Speaking during the unveiling, Dr. OTOPE explained that the rebranding was done out of love for the PDP and in continuation of Governor Makinde’s vision of orderliness, maintenance culture, and grassroots visibility. “These buses were first provided by His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde to all the Thirty-Three(33) Local governments during 2023 campain and it is our duty as loyal party members to maintain them.
